On Tuesday, March 28th, Officers of the Salinas Police Department Violence Suppression Unit working in partnership with Monterey County Parole and Monterey County Probation conducted a series of parole compliance checks resulting in six arrests. Officers arrested two wanted parolees for absconding and violating parole, four of the arrests were for violations ranging from, possession of a firearm, gang association, possession of a controlled substance for sales, and possession of ammunition. A total of fifteen residences were searched during the sweep. One firearm was seized, ammunition, and a small amount of cocaine and methamphetamine. The arrested parolees were booked into Monterey County Jail.
