Incident: Bank Robbery
Date: Monday, 1/8/2018
Time: 9:51 AM
Location: 800 E. Alisal St - Chase Bank
A witness saw a male walk into Chase bank with a bandana covering his face, wearing gloves and holding a handgun. He immediately called 911 to report a bank robbery even before we got the alarm call. The lone suspect pointed a gun at a person sitting on a couch by the door and ordered her to walk with him to the teller. Once at the counter, the suspect began waiving his gun around and demanding money from the teller in both English and Spanish. He then got money from the next teller. All the money was put into a plastic bag and he walked out the bank. Before he got outside, he put his gun in the bag with the money. He then walked across Alisal and toward N. Felice. Once across the street, he began running. There were several customers in the bank, but he only took money from the 2 tellers.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 25-30, approx. 5-10, thin build, wearing a black jacket with a hood, a white bandana, gloves and gray sweatpants. He was armed with a black handgun with an extended magazine.
