A 40 year old ice cream vendor was making a sale to a young old girl in the 1100 block of Rider Ave. Her back was turned to a male who approached. The subject grabbed the vendor from behind. He held a knife to her side and demanded all her money. When the girl screamed, the victim broke away and ran into a nearby house. The suspect started to flee on his bike, but fell and dropped his knife. He got back up and fled northbound on Rider Ave., making a right turn onto Del Monte Ave. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male juvenile, 17 years old with a medium build and light mustache. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt, white t-shirt, jeans, and ride a green mountain bike. There is no further information at this time.
