A Salinas High School teacher and student were closing up the observatory on campus when they were approached by 3 Hispanic males. The suspects demanded the student's cell phone and watch and grabbed a laptop from the teacher's hands. The teacher initially fought back and the suspects hit and kicked him several times before running away north on Lincoln Ave. The teacher had several cuts to his face, but declined medical attention. The student was not injured.
