Report #: 15-040716
Date: Thursday, 4/16/2015
Time: 10:19 PM
Location: E. Boronda & McKinnon St.
A 30 year old male was stopped for the red light at the intersection of E. Boronda Rd. and McKinnon St. A green Honda Accord stopped next to him in the left turn lane. He noticed the vehicle was occupied by four males who were flashing gang signs in his direction. The driver of the Honda pointed a firearm at the victim and fired several shots. The victim sped away on E.Boronda towards Natividad with his two young children in the back seat. The suspect vehicle chased the victims, which continued onto southbound Natividad Rd. at speeds as high as 75-85 mph. The victim lost control on Sherwood Dr. near Cherry St. and his vehicle rolled onto its side. Fortunately, no one was injured. The suspects were nowhere to be found and it appears the victim vehicle was not hit with gunfire. There was no indication the victim was in any way involved with gangs and appears to be a case of mistaken identy. There is no further information on the suspects or their vehicle.
