A student from Salinas High School posted a threat against the school on social media. Other students saw the post and notified their parents. The parents of the students contacted the Salinas Police Department. Salinas High School Administrators and District Officials assisted in the investigation. The student was contacted at his residence and taken into custody for the threats. A search of his residence did not reveal any weapons. The student informed officers that he had no intention of going through with the threat. He was transported and booked at Monterey County Juvenile Hall.
