On January 21st a 44-year-old male was driving recklessly on North Sanborn Road when he struck another vehicle causing moderate damage. The man then appeared to be fleeing the scene of the collision westbound on the Laurel Extension at a very high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle. He drove off of the road and struck a retaining wall at Natividad Medical Center where he died from injuries from the collision. The driver has been identified as Armando Vega Vasquez of Salinas.
