Location: Baldwin St. / W. Laurel Drive

A 36-year-old woman was shot while in a vehicle near the intersection of Baldwin Street and W. Laurel Drive. The victim had been warming up her car on the 1000 block of Baldwin Street and noticed a silver SUV drive by. A short time later she departed in her vehicle and stopped at the intersection of Baldwin and W. Laurel Drive where she heard gunshots and was shot from the passenger side of her vehicle. The victim quickly drove out of the area to make her escape before returning home. Family transported her to the hospital where she is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to her upper back and shoulder. The victim described the suspect as an 18- 20-year-old Hispanic male adult, medium complexion, 5'7”, 140 lbs., wearing a black beanie and cut off shorts. The suspect may have fled the area in a silver SUV. A home on the 100 block of W. Laurel Drive was struck by a bullet from the shooting; there were no injuries at the home.
