A witness saw three suspects burglarizing an apartment on the 400 block of Tyler Street and then leave in white Mercedes. The suspects were seen taking a rifle safe from the apartment, throwing it over a fence and putting it in the get-a-way car prior to leaving. The caller provided a vehicle description and license plate and an officer spotted the car on Main Street at Bernal Drive. A pursuit ensued that ended at Tynan Village Apartments located at Front Street and Alisal Street. All three suspects fled on foot and a large search was conducted. Eventually, all three suspects were located and arrested. The safe was still in the car. The victim was contacted and the safe did contain firearms. Arrested were Desire Petty (18), Pahalad Kumar (28) and David Hardy (26). Kumar was the driver.
