- On Sunday morning at approximately 1:00 AM Salinas Police received a call of an injury collision on Constitution Blvd at Manchester Dr. When officers arrived they found the driver and occupants of a BMW all ejected from the vehicle after colliding with a tree on the side of the road. At the scene of the collision, an adult female passenger was found deceased as well as an 8-month-old child who later died at the hospital. The male driver was transported to the hospital with severe injuries and is currently in critical condition. Thus far the Investigation has revealed that while the BMW was travelling at an excessive speed on Constitution Blvd it veered off the road and into a large tree. Investigators are currently trying to determine the cause of the collision and whether the drivers sobriety was a contributing factor. At this time, names of the involved parties are being withheld pending notification of families of the deceased.
