Olegario Cavero, 32, went to his ex-girlfriend's residence in the 700-block of Kilbreth Ave. to visit his kids. Due to previous problems he has caused, Cavero was told he was not welcome. The new boyfriend was also present and told Cavero to leave. The two began to argue and then fight. Cavero retrieved a screwdriver and stabbed the new boyfriend in the upper left chest area. Responding officers located the suspect at Del Monte Ave. and Kilbreth Ave. He was arrested and booked for assault with a deadly weapon. The injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
