Officers were dispatched to a call of an injury collision at the above location. While enroute witnesses advised that the female driver was fleeing the scene while holding a baby. Both the female and baby were said to be bleeding from the face. The driver was able to get away before officers arrived. The driver had been driving w/b on N. Madeira Ave. when she struck a parked car at a high rate of speed causing major damage. Officers found paperwork in the car indicating the driver could have been Monica Moreno, 26. Officers followed several leads. Officers received a tip form a concerned person who gave police the location of the Moreno in order to get help for the baby. Officers contacted Moreno on the 900 block of Rider Avenue where she was detained. The baby was transported to NMC via AMR with face and head injuries. A DUI investigation was conducted and Moreno blew .09 and .09 more than 2 hours after the collision. She was later booked for Felony DUI, Felony Hit and Run, and Child Endangerment.
