Salinas Police Department Investigations Bureau, in conjunction with Galt Police Department and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's CyberTip Unit served a search warrant regarding inappropriate communication between Jonathan Michael Busby (27) and a 15 yr-old female. Busby, who is a Sex Registrant and on probation, set up a account on MeetMe.com, posing as a 13-yr-old boy. He contacted the female and solicited photographs from her. It appears she may have sent some photographs to him over the Internet and Busby asked for more. The report eventually reached the Salinas Police Department Investigations Bureau and a search warrant was authored for Busby's residence. Busby was found at his home sleeping and he was taken into custody without incident. Electronics were seized and turned over to the Computer Forensic Unit. Busby was lodged for 288.3 PC, Contacting a Minor with the Intent to Offend and 1203.2(a) PC, Probation Violation.
